Project Overview

This luxury Design & landscape construction project in Little Cove, Noosa involved the creation of a lush, established tropical garden designed to sit naturally within its exceptional coastal setting. Working closely with Damien from Davidson Builders, our team developed and delivered a carefully considered planting scheme for this multi-million-dollar home.

The garden was designed to complement the home’s architecture while creating an immediate sense of privacy, softness and connection to the surrounding Noosa landscape.

Scope of Works

The landscape works included detailed plant selection and placement, soil preparation, garden construction, planting and the establishment of dense tropical garden zones throughout the property. Custom hanging planters were also installed to the second-storey level of the home, extending the planting vertically and softening the built form.

A layered planting palette was selected to provide screening, visual interest and a mature resort-style feel from completion. Every plant was carefully considered for its scale, form, colour and suitability to the site.

Construction Challenges

Creating an instant, established garden was a key priority for this project. Rather than relying on small plants to grow in over time, the planting scheme required the sourcing and careful installation of advanced specimens to deliver immediate impact and privacy.

Considerable attention was given to hand-selecting the right plants, ensuring each specimen suited its intended location and contributed to the overall balance of the garden. Coordination with the builder throughout construction was also essential to ensure the landscape integrated seamlessly with the completed home and surrounding outdoor areas.

Materials & Planting

The garden features a rich, tropical planting palette with layered foliage, feature palms and dense screening plants to create a private and immersive outdoor setting.

The standout feature of the landscape is the collection of striking Licuala palms, sourced from Eumundi Palms. Their large, fan-shaped foliage creates an unmistakable tropical character and provides a beautiful focal point within the garden.

Outcome

The completed garden provides an immediate sense of maturity and privacy, allowing the home to feel settled within its natural Little Cove surrounds from day one.

Through detailed plant selection and thoughtful placement, the landscape delivers a lush, resort-style environment that softens the architecture and enhances the outdoor living areas. The project reflects a highly detailed and integrated approach to luxury outdoor design and construction on the Sunshine Coast, creating a private retreat befitting this exceptional Noosa property.
